Our Vision

The Vision is a world in which every good idea has an equitable opportunity for success and in which every business, regardless of size, can compete for good ideas on a level playing field.    In this world, ideas at varying stages of development are exchanged between inventors, promoters, developers and distributors  based upon their needs, interests and capacities, to expedite speed to market and to minimize economic waste.  And participants in the marketplace are provided information and tools to make better decisions.    At the heart of it all is Techlink Innovation Exchange, a not-for-profit established in 2015, which gathers the data and creates the marketplace by providing, on a sustainable, non-profit and even-handed basis, Marketplace Services to those seeking to part with ideas  and Member Services to those able to advance them.

ArrowCan is led by Adi Treasurwala, Ph.d. Adi’s career of four decades has spanned the divide between industry and academia in a unique and fluid way. Almost three decades with such companies as Wyeth Ayerst, Sterling Drug, Pfizer, and Allelix provided Adi with a firm foundation of industry norms and attitudes in a range of positions from the bench to strategic levels of senior management in R&D and Business Development.

In 2001, Adi took on the roles of Director of Business Development and Chief Operating Officer of the University of Toronto Innovations Foundation he was able to leverage this experience while learning about the “sell” side of the equation in early technologies of all kinds. He has served as CEO of five start-up companies, taking each of them to their unique successful next steps. As well, several significant licenses were signed during his tenure. His unique perspectives about how academia might best interact with industry led Adi in 2005 to start ArrowCan Partners Inc. – a private company dedicated to adding value to the academia/industry conversation through a rather different approach.
